Many people want to have a ‘balanced’ life; they want to be good at several things.
While there’s nothing wrong with being good at several things, the problem is it’s difficult to be VERY successful at several things. At best, you’ll be an average performer at all of them.
But do you really want to be very successful at something?
Do you want to be at the top of your game like Mozart was at the piano, Warren Buffett is with investing, and Lebron James is with basketball?
You see, when you look at really successful people, have you noticed how they’re really good at that ONE thing?
It could be sports, music, art, business, or politics. But they’re just really good at, and known for, that ONE thing?
The truth is, one of the most important keys to success is FOCUS.
FOCUS: Follow One Course Until Success.
If you want to be really good at something, or anything, you have to give it an ‘unfair’ amount of your time, effort, energy and focus.
That’s how you’ll get really good and successful at anything.
But if you try to ‘balance’ things out by being good at several things, the best you’ll become is average.
This short video below shares some interesting insights into “The ONE Thing”, an impressive book by Gary Keller and Jay Papasan.
I’m sure you’ll love it.
Don’t forget: find your ONE thing and FOCUS on it. That’s the only way you’ll get VERY good at it.
Of course, when you’ve found success with that one thing, you can go ahead to focus on, and chase another thing.
