Apples are considered an exotic fruit in many parts of Africa. They fetch a handsome price in markets across the continent as they are largely imported from overseas.

In Kenya, one visionary entrepreneur is successfully exploiting the local demand for apples. Peter Wambugu is one of Kenya’s most successful apple farmers and harvests thousands of fruits on his farm every year.

His apples are very good quality and compare quite favourably with imported apple fruits from Israel, Europe and South Africa.

Watch the short video below and learn from Peter Wambugu as he tells his success story and shares valuable insights on apple farming.

Enjoy! 🙂
